Crayon Mosaics

For this project, I used two boxes of crayons with 96 different colours. I used one box to colour small swatches of paper, then used the pristine box to photograph the tip of the crayon lying on its colour swatch. Then I used the 96 colour "tiles" in mosaic software to come up with these results.

When viewed up close, the image has a tendency to dissolve into its constituent large "pixels."
